Cicada Innovations is the home of deep technology. Deep Tech refers to fundamental breakthroughs in science and engineering that profoundly impact industries and people's lives. It is helping industry leaders solve complex issues. Medical technology startups in this space relying heavily on tech breakthroughs and tangible IP, are on the rise.

In conversation with the new CEO of Cicada Innovations and executives from NSW Health, I discovered what’s next for businesses in this space. I also spoke to some of the graduates of the MDCTP program to find out what motivates them to continue to innovate.

It’s difficult yet rewarding for these talented individuals who spend years developing ground-breaking solutions to some of the world’s most pressing medical issues. I was left speechless and beyond impressed.
