I sat down with an Indigenous Leader, 2019 Sidney Sax Recipient Vicki Wade to talk to her about some of the challenges and achievements in her career.

Behind every fruit, every veggie, every seed, every plant there is a story. They are up before the sun rises and often don’t make it to bed until long after the sun sets. Farmers are intensely passionate about what they do. Their importance to our community is not to be overlooked.

I talked to local farmers and businesses in the Greater Western Sydney Region about their farming traditions, agri-tech, how it’s affecting their farming processes, and sustainability in farming. I also spoke with the Councillor of Liverpool City Council to get insights on their involvement and future plans with local businesses.

The story of every successful family business starts with someone who has the passion, confidence and courage to pursue a dream. They work incredibly hard to make things happen, are positive without being unrealistic and possess the resourcefulness to overcome all sorts of hurdles.

I sat down with the CEO of Omega Industries to hear how this family business was developed. It all started with a father, who out of necessity turned to painting homes to survive. In this interview I learnt about how family businesses build and grow together. Their ‘small business’ eventually became a global commercial coating success story.

Plus Fitness 24/7 Cabramatta ran a bootcamp charity event to raise funds in support of AHHA and Miracle Babies Foundation.

In a sit down interview with Survivor Watch Ambassadors, we discuss the importance of the game-changing technology solution that aims to save lives in unsafe and emergency situations.

Polyfest Queensland was held in Brisbane on the 15th September 2018 at St Laurence’s College, Edmund Rice Performing Art Center as part of the cultural brands movement in raising awareness of our multicultural communities across Australia.

I interviewed the exhibitors, sponsors and arranged media for the event. Some of the exhibitors included Digicel and MYRIVR. The founders of these companies have integrated their Polynesian culture into their businesses. They found gaps unique to their hometown markets and have created solutions to combat these challenges.

In a 3-day conference, I interviewed technology startups and enterprises that had developed technology solutions for our everyday problems.

One of the most pressing issues is the safety of our online data. I discovered how these companies were protecting their consumers privacy and what measures they had put into place.

The Australian technology industry is perfectly positioned to lead the country forward. With major US technology companies accomplishing a market capitalisation larger than many countries, there is clear potential for the Australian technology industry to grow.

However, a look into the daily workings of a typical Australian IT or technology-facing company tends not to reflect that we are on this path.
